Funding

Library funds are accumulated from a mixture of local, state, federal, and other sources. Finding funds for your library can often be a challenge, but APLS is here to help make this process easier for Alabama’s public libraries.

LSTA

Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds are provided to the Alabama Public Library Service (APLS) by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

State Aid

The State of Alabama provides supplemental funding to all public libraries in the state. APLS distributes state aid funding to libraries each quarter on a per capita basis.

Provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access.
