APLS Reference Services offers in-depth research services, provides training on databases, and answers internal and external reference questions from Alabama libraries. Reference Services also works closely with staff at APLS and other state agencies to ensure their information needs are being met through library collections and services.
APLS Information Technology prides itself on helping public libraries with their technology needs and concerns. One of their primary goals is to provide high quality, professional IT services to public libraries statewide, including: desktop hardware and software support, hardware and software purchasing consultation, email, internet, telephone and video conferencing, and secure and managed information storage.
